But don't you wish it really DID work?June 20, 2007 - 5:55pm
Apple has a pro tips site that usually has some good, if trivial, tips on it. Today, however, the tip is how to send files via FTP using the Finder. This has been impossible since the inception of Mac OS X. I’m guessing someone saw that you could download via FTP and presumed the reverse worked. Didn’t we all? Update: It’s been pulled now. “Impartiality is a pompous name for indifference, which is an elegant name for ignorance.” – The Speaker, 12/15/00 — G. K. Chesterton |

Nice one, Adam! Got me a good laugh!
I just hope the author submitted that one anonymously…
Especially the “baby” got to me. Ahh, well.

check into it first before you spread some mis-information.
i am at this moment working from a Finder mounted FTP server, uploading and downloading.
I did “do some research” and it does not work and has never worked. You’re likely not using FTP...
i apologize. you are correct. i forgot to add ftp:// to my address when i used ‘Connect to Server’ and it worked.
didn’t mean to be rude either.
Not a problem. Text is an inexact medium.
